Susan Greenbaum

Susan Greenbaum, Ph.D., is Professor of Anthropology at the University of South Florida. Her association with Ybor City includes programs on "Cubans in Tampa: Common Histories, Common Paths. Joint celebration of 100 years of Cuban mutual aid societies in Ybor City", "Tampa Afro-Cubans & Buffalo Soldier Sites Survey Project", an archival and archaeological survey in connection with centennial of the Spanish American War, "Afro-Cubans in Ybor City: A Contemporary Perspective", an interview survey, "More than Black: Afro-Cubans in Tampa, Florida", published by the University Press of Florida and "Afro-Cubans in Ybor City: A Centennial History. Sociedad La Union Marti-Maceo".

Taste of Sandwiche Cubano Food Fest

Food fest featuring traditional Tampa cuisine, including an attempt to create the world's longest Cuban Sandwich, besting Miami's 30-foot long record set in December 2011, winners of the Cuban Sandwich Festival held in Ybor in May, and Cuban sandwiches from numerous local restaurants; plus roast pork, deviled crabs, empanadas, flan.
